ðŠ Leslie's Free Circus
In the heart of a mystical, far-off island, there existed a commune of people who dedicated their lives to nothing but stretching. They believed it was the only key to unlock the mysterious doors of the universe.
Through countless years of relentless practice, they learned to levitate, breathe underwater, fall from great heights unharmed, turn invisible, and even slip through the smallest of gaps, but they never used these abilities as they were not what they were truly seeking.
Something else stirred in their minds, a dream they could not quite capture yet – a way to create their own world. They yearned for the power of extreme body contortions that would allow them to bend time and space, stretching the boundaries of their island to the farthest corners of the globe.
Their hopes were wild, so they began with small steps – sending their most flexible members to the mainland in an attempt to spread the influence of extreme contortion. Even if they could not create a new world yet, perhaps they could at least transform the existing world into an endless yoga class...

One sunny morning, a baby boy was born on this island of yogis. His parents named him Leslie in hopes that his life would be filled with good health and flexibility.
Years went by, and after almost two decades, Leslie turned eighteen, ready to leave the commune and explore the world beyond its boundaries. The elders encouraged him to do so, hoping that he would return with new friends and possibly even a flexible girlfriend who could join the commune.
Armed with nothing but his impeccable stretching skills, young Leslie embarked on a new journey filled with excitement and uncertainty...

Upon arriving on the mainland, Leslie was disheartened to find that he couldn't simply take food for free like he had done back home. Following the guidebook of the commune, he realized he needed a job, earn his own money and buy his own meals.
However, what kind of job could someone with such limited experience do? Extreme flexibility being his only skill, he decided to give the circus a try. And after showcasing some incredible contortions during the auditions, he was hired immediately.
At first, Leslie thrived in his new role, becoming a star attraction with audiences cheering for him until they were hoarse. As time passed, though, Leslie began to feel increasingly restricted by his job. The monotony of his daily routine was stifling. Even his amazing contortion skills were now reduced to a predictable sequence of moves, repeated endlessly.
He missed the freedom he had felt during his first week on the mainland – that week was truly a week, not just 7 days put together. Each day was about survival and adventure – he roamed around the city, performing spontaneously in public places, never knowing what the day would bring.

One day, after a particularly tiring performance, Leslie stepped out into the bustling city square. Overcome with the need to stretch his limbs, he took off his lightweight top, stripping down to a skimpy bikini bottom. Passersby stopped in their tracks, halting their busy lives to witness this remarkable sight. Children cheered joyously while adults were left speechless by the sheer talent they beheld before them.
The day after, Leslie received quite an unpleasant surprise: the manager of the circus scolded him, demanding to know why he was performing for free on the streets when he was paid to bend his back at the circus. However, this logic seemed lost on Leslie, who loved stretching whenever he felt the urge, regardless of who might be watching.
Despite the manager's warnings, Leslie only shrugged his hypermobile shoulders and continued to practice his craft in the city square whenever he pleased, to the delight of his ever-growing crowds.

Soon enough, cafes and restaurants located near the square began offering him free food in exchange for occasional performances inside their establishments, which helped boost their sales considerably.
Before long, the entire city center turned into one grand stage for Leslie, as shopkeepers offered him new bikini bottoms and underwear to try on while performing, hoping that having such a talented bendy boy display their merchandise would drive customers into their stores.
As days turned into weeks, it became apparent that there wasn't a single corner of the city where Leslie hadn't yet showcased his incredible talent. Even the once-regretful circus manager came crawling back to him, begging for him to return to the circus. But by now, Leslie had tasted freedom and realized how much more fulfilling life could be without the constraints of a regular job.
With a smug smile on his face, he shook his head at the manager and went back to stretching in front of the adoring crowd that always gathered around him. And before he knew it, every child in town was mimicking his signature moves, while adults were fervently discussing the possibility of incorporating contortion lessons into school curricula and even considering creating a new sport for the Olympics.

The seed had been sown. The city square was forever changed and the circus was forced to close down. Very soon, an expansive research facility emerged in its place, dedicated to the study of extreme stretching and innovating machinery to assist in these groundbreaking efforts.
A magnificent monument was erected in the heart of the city, depicting acrobatic youths in a variety of remarkable backfolds and oversplits. The city's name was changed to Bendsburg, and Leslie was celebrated as its hero, a boy who brought depth and meaning to the once mundane urban landscape.
Bendsburg was soon followed by Bendington, Westbend, Bendsville-on-Foldstream, Old Benden, New Bendlebend and Bendywood, as Leslie's fame resonated around the world.
