🧽 Soft Rock

Wolfy's early demo "Soft Rock" was inspired by the dancing class that taught him everything he knows about bending and rocking!

The whole group was composed of excessively handsome boys, so at first Wolfy thought they put him in a wrong group, they couldn't possibly see HIM as one of those femboys! He always tried to look cool, so was looking forward to learning something more like breakdance...

Then, the dress code, it was even more ridiculous! They had to wear those black stretchy leotards, so high cut that it was a big challenge to wear for someone who was used to jean shorts...

But as the stretching progressed and Wolfy learned to do splits and oversplits, he figured he couldn't possibly stretch his legs so far while wearing his jean shorts, unless he cut them basically to the same level as his leotard...

The leo was not just convenient, it added a strange feeling of bravery to every move he did as a dancer, knowing how much is exposed and how much is at stake, he couldn't possibly fail... He had to polish his movements and flexibility to the absolute perfection!

Many other boys quickly grew to see Wolfy as a role model because of his hard work and bravery. Many times he was thankful that he didn't get into a breakdance group where he would be the most feminine among the tough guys... But in this class, all the other boys were cuter than him and gave him puppy eyes, which often made him feel as their leader.

He also suddenly started finding himself paying a whole lot of attention to the music they were all dancing to, as well as the rock posters on the walls. Now that his hair grew much longer, he suddenly wanted to brush it up like those rockers! And that was also the day he got his first guitar...

Tough guys? 😆 Does anybody remember the way breakdancers dressed? 😅

No, really, they actually dressed like that.

The really "tough" ones looked like extras from a Michael Jackson video. He was, in fact, a huge influence on the scene's fashions.

Wow, the 80s never disappoint 😁

Oh forgot to say in the description this was basically Wolfy trying to cosplay the girl from the video Flashdance - Final Dance / What a Feeling (1983): youtu.be/VzALZjoIx0g

Thanks goodness I was able to find it again to get the link, had to literally ask google to find a "80s music video with a girl dancing in a black leotard" and it actually worked! 🤯 Read more

Jennifer Beals. 🙂 Didn't even need to google it. Love that video! Flashdance? These days, should re-name it, "Flashback". 😆
She took out an LP because the first commercially available CD player had just-just come out in 1982 and only in Japan. Read more
Oh okay, I didn't watch the movie or anything... Youtube suggested to watch that Flashdance clip.

Funny, I read about a musician in Japan who was so crazy about copyrights that made his own custom CD player, the only device capable of playing his custom-made CDs. So you have to order the music AND the only device able to play it 😂 Read more
I love how you're building out this character. I can't even imagine where his story goes next, and I love that.
