🌴 The Wasped World
Chapter 7. Benduti
Hi everyone! I hope you all have been enjoying this series so far 😅 I wanted to try and put some lore and meaning behind the wasp waists in my fantasy world. The idea came from something I read long ago about certain cultures where belts were used as protective talismans... 🧐
People would wear up to three belts at once – one next to their skin for protection against evil, another for practical purposes like keeping their pants up, and a third, wider one purely for decorative purposes. Even babies had to be "belleted" right after birth to ward off evil spirits until they could be baptized and named 🐣💦
However, these belts weren't really tight or anything, so while I did borrow the idea from folklore, I also added my own twist to it 😜 If I ever find the time and inspiration, I may write an additional chapter or two in the future, but for now, I hope you enjoy this latest installment!
🌴 🌴 🌴
The mystical rainforest... An enchanting yet perilous realm where danger lurks behind every leafy corner, has kept its secrets hidden for centuries. Those who dare to venture into this lush yet treacherous landscape are often met with unimaginable challenges – venomous creatures, deadly traps, and sinister forces that seek to prey upon the unwary.
Yet for those brave souls who call these wild lands home, there exists a powerful remedy forged through countless generations of trial and tribulation. This remarkable solution, a peculiar cord made from a rare type of vine intertwined with the bark of a sacred palm tree and soaked in the murky waters of the deepest swamp, has served as a beacon of hope for the indigenous people who rely on its miraculous properties to survive in this harsh environment.
When bound around the waistline, this mysterious cord transforms the body of the wearer in truly astonishing ways. As it dries over the course of an hour, the vine tightens like a vise, sculpting the muscles beneath into a chiseled masterpiece that would make even the most fashionable corset princess green with envy.
With years of rigorous training and discipline, this ancient technique becomes second nature to those who embrace it, allowing them to harness the true power of their bodies and unlock the hidden potential within.
🌴 🌴 🌴
But the benefits of this incredible method extend far beyond mere aesthetics. The Benduti scouts, a legendary group of warriors who have dedicated their lives to protecting the delicate balance of the rainforest, have discovered that wearing this enchanted cord grants them extraordinary abilities.
Their bodies become virtually immune to the toxic poisons that permeate every corner of the jungle, rendering them untouchable by even the deadliest serpents or insects that never even land on their shiny skin. Furthermore, this magical armor serves as a potent shield against the malevolent spirits that haunt the shadows of the forest, ensuring that no harm can come to those who bear its mark.
The possession of such extraordinary power demands great sacrifice. To form an alliance with this divine plant, individuals must display unwavering commitment and fortitude, pushing their bodies to the very brink of human endurance, which reflects on their facial expression, often compared to that of a young woman experiencing her maiden voyage into lovemaking – a captivating blend of euphoria and discomfort.
Yet for those who dare to walk the path of the Benduti, there is no greater reward than the knowledge that they are part of something far greater than themselves – a legacy of courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the protection of the world's great wilderness.
I'm also super happy you're continuing this. I don't care that you constantly change your lore, just keep writing about it. Continuity is for people not creative enough to have more than one idea.
Quick question, though... Are the materials themselves just magic, or do they only work together? Like, ammonium nitrate is whatever, diesel fuel is whatever, but mix them and it's the storied "fertilizer bomb"? And do they only work as a corset? Could you weave the materials into a building for some benefit, for example? Or could they be woven into a kind of armour? Like, King Of The Wicker People? And does it only work on the waist? Could you make a cock ring out of it, or a bracelet, and get some benefit? Sorry, I love lore and you can feel free to tell me to shut up.

So in my variation Nab is an African boy with striking good looks, often depicted either fully naked or wearing a small loincloth, his hair is long and curly, and that's all I know about him.
When it comes to depicting Nab, I sometimes struggle with consistency since I don't usually make concept art beforehand that could be used as a reference. Instead, I rely on my memory of what he should look like and try different things in each picture. So his appearance can vary somewhat between images - sometimes he has dreadlocks, beads, or feathers in his hair, while at other times he appears more muscular or more curvy. So in every picture I reimagine him from scratch but I think process allows to explore different aspects of him and maybe find the ideal Nab or something.
As for the materials he uses, I imagined that there might be some natural plants on the island that could be utilized for such purposes. Like certain types of bendy branches or stems from plants that expand when wet and shrink when dried, making them ideal for creating things as corsets and belts that are meant to tighten over time. Maybe these materials can be used for crafting elastic cock rings and adjustable bracelets - the possibilities are endless I guess! :D
