System technology-based, advanced (limb)-removal solution.

In 2201, the world and its society changed in many positive ways. After "The System" was built up by a highly advanced alien-lifeform more than 50 years ago, numerous technologies were released to the outside world, making life easier and offering technology which would've taken decades to be developed by humans. In trade of delivering revolutionary technology, the system needed resources. "Human" resources. Today, it's an honor for each boy to be born, destined to get integrated into the system some day after his 12th birthday. The system even rewarded families of boys, performing exceptionally well with personal worker-bots or other useful technology, such as highly advanced nutrition and aging-effect-suppressing fluids. What really happened to the boys inside the system was unknown, since no boy ever returned and the "integration" is also permanent. Nobody was asking about the boys though, since it was an honor to serve the system by contributing a boy to the system.

Unknown to the outside world, the system did care very well for each of the millions and millions of boys, getting integrated and turned into "drones". The alien-lifeform which was leading the system-plant – there were numerous plants, spread around the whole world, mostly being constructed underground as huge, city-like infrastructures – was highly interested in the drone-boys well-being. Even considering the boys own interests when assigning their drone-type they would get integrated as. The drones were, regardless of their type, changed in a physical way to never needing any solid food or regular water anymore. A highly specialized nutrient fluid, produced by A-Drones in a raw form and enhanced by B-Drones, was the way the drone-boys were kept alive, giving them the best possible nutrition a human ever could receive. All drones receive this fluid via pumps, installed inside their rectum, pleasuring them during this process as well. The system was widely relying on keeping the boys happy and under control using what they loved the most: Pleasure.

To keep this whole process of taking in new drones and producing sufficient amounts of nutrient fluid, the system released "S.T.A.R.S." – Shortly after establishing the public impression of a trustworthy and reliable "partner" of all human beings. In the end, this was not wrong in any way – the system was delivering all kinds of new technologies, one of them being highly advanced artificial limbs with the ability to seamlessly fuse to the wearers skin and even restoring the sense of touch. Advanced and very small easy-to-install implants inside the brain, directly connected to the central nervous system, made this technology a modern miracle. Alongside with this technology, "modular humans" became very popular over the years. News even referred to them as "the next generation" of humans. These "modular humans" were limbless born boys. Limbless due to injecting the "S.T.A.R.S."-fluid during pregnancy. It took several years for this new technology to be accepted, but along with all the benefits it brought with itself, the government had to regulate this injection to the second-born child of a family to maintain the birth-rates of "regular" humans and to not infringe the system's agreement to provide 50% of all born human males after their 12th birthday to the system.

In the first place, "the system" released "S.T.A.R.S." after learning that it's much more efficient to prepare the boys' bodies to become a highly efficient, fluid-producing A-Drone before birth. A-Drones required to be limbless to make this drone-type compatible for not only fluid-producing purposes but also to research and develop further on the technology of artificial limbs.
