It is only two lines of a verse long known in Elven-lore:
Three Kinks for the Elven teens and their spines,

It's insanely clever, but it must have taken forever to reference the original Tolkien poetry while "bending" it to fit in "Yunia". Would these scary, sexy mages be any LESS scary or sexy without a clever story?
They wouldn't be meaningless, either. None of your art is meaningless.
What makes art meaningless is lack of talent and lack of originality. When it comes to meaningless art, take a look at all those French, Italian and Spanish porn-comic magaziness done in the 70s and 80s. The art has no class, rarely any style, even when it's more or less competent. The storylines are usually just an excuse to draw the usual hetero sex poses. It's dreary, badly drawn grimy black and white art... page after page, issue after issue, year after year in dozens of different magazines, one looking much like any other. Most of it isn't even arousing. That is what meaningless art looks like. This here is something else..
Nobody working today does work of this quality combined with such intense subject matter.
Even when your characters are just standing and posing, their facial features are immediately recognizable as "Yuni". They're super attractive, what they do is very unusual and intriguing, and that makes your art something very special

I must confess I just copy-pasted an excerpt of Tolkien's text from the book with minor changes that I thought would be funny XD;; But the text kind of made me think... what are the Three Kinks given to the Elves, what are those given to the Barbs, etc? I'm probably going to burn myself out even more trying to make an exact list of these kinks that they all received... XD;
