🎱 Fold Story
Update 1
You can also try the latest version, but it's sometimes buggy during temporary experiments...
I've always wanted to make a video game since I was 11 when I suddenly realized that it's not only something I can play, but also something that I can do if I can figure out how to do it, so that increased my interest in programming and I think I owe everything in my life to this initial impulse ^^
But as I got older and older, every year I failed again and again to create a game... I realized that soon I could be 40, 50, 60, and still not make it, while so many people on YouTube are making their own games these days and actually making progress on them... ^^;
So I thought it would be nice to finally figure out what's stopping me from making a game and finally try to make one in 2023. I've been trying to figure out why making so many artworks has never been a problem... I think it's mostly because I do it randomly, like when I have an idea for a pose, I do it immediately without thinking, and only after the image is done I try to look at it and write a suitable story, so I never try to force my pictures to be anything too specific, initial ideas are always flexible to turn into something else in the process...
On the other hand, when making games, I always try to think through their story first, come up with ideas for characters, abilities, etc, and maybe the rigidness is what's killing it every time? So this time I tried to do something completely random, just whatever I could think of without thinking what it's all about...
And another thing that I think has always led me to failures is trying to make complex animations right away and get stuck for days and weeks making sprites, so this time I tried to use some existing sprites that I had done a while ago, as little billboards, nothing fancy but looks quite effective I think.
However, after 3 weeks of development, I ran into the problem again, not knowing what to do next, so I thought I'd share my progress. There's not much there, just walking around, you can click and hold to walk continuously, you can talk to other characters, and you can also collect some goo from the snail, and in the inventory you can merge two pieces of goo together to make a slime... which so far is useless XD
So far so goo, but again I feel like I'm losing the initial impulse and I'm a bit terrified to end up abandoning yet another project, I have an inner feeling that everything should finally work out in 2023, I even finally got back to the gym so I hope to get better soon...
But there are other things that keep bothering me, like should this be an adult game, like maybe doing some openly erotic and hardcore stuff for fun and collecting cum in bottles for alchemy or something in like that, or would it look kind of cringy in this style instead of enjoyable, it's so hard to decide...
Anyway, I hope for now it looks promising and I can finally do what I always wanted to do in life, at least I'm already waking up in the morning and thinking about this project, instead of how everyone sucks in this world, which is a really good change ^^

I honestly don't know what I'm doing in terms of gameplay, but it seems to be a nice way to do something more with those little sprites I made before :D
Nothing else happens. :/
Seems the site itself was also a bit buggy in that old browsers, so fixed it as well XD
I think the basics of gameplay work (walking around, picking up items, merging them), the rest is more about making actual content... Need to figure out what kind of place is this... XD;
A thousand thank-yous and, yes, the updated version works!
Talented, tech-savvy Yuni is talented and tech-savvy!
1. Everything is possible to the willing spine
2. Learning something new
3. You can enjoy playing the game (which is a retro-looking game, so it would be ridiculous for it to require the most modern browser to play)
