All characters are 18+
While most soldiers in the world fear getting captured, in the elven army it is at the top of every new recruit's to-do list. To begin their military training, they must serve a minimum of two weeks in captivity, gaining some of the most important skills as a future warrior, such as endurance, cunning, maybe even some basics of "diplomacy."
But more importantly, each elf must gain a number of allies in the foreign fort during their stay. To prepare properly, they must spend a minimum of 3 months working in a brothel to refine their "diplomatic" skills: oral negotiation, anal-ytics etc, before they can enlist in the military. So it's not a joke.
After two weeks in captivity, they begin to work on improving their cunning as they plan their escape route through the beds of various guards. Of course, most of the world's armies are perfectly aware of this elf deception, elves are widely known for being goofy, but they are also the sexiest, so they can be forgiven.
Let's be honest, the elven army is considered quite "decorative" and is mainly featured in parades and festivities, very welcome in all realms. None of them are at war with the elves, but always help them with their traditional captivity customs, as elves tend to be even sexier in bondage...
Come to think of it, no one is at war with anyone in this world, so I'm not sure why they have armies... maybe just for BDSM? 😂

I think elves enjoy BDSM and are quite excited to see what their captors will have up their sleeves for them. About two weeks I think it was an exaggeration, nobody realistically stays in captivity for only two weeks. With a good master they can spend a whole year or even become a couple for a long time. But holding a captive elf is not easy, you must have a lot of energy or they will sexually exhaust you in one week, and once they feel you're not longer as excited as before, they escape to find a better master. Escaping has never been a problem, finding a resourceful and imaginative captor, now that's a problem! There are many elves but not as many great masters, sometimes they have to stand in the queue to be the next prisoner of a well known dungeon keeper... :P
Of course a lot of people would love to cuddle and touch them, but it's not the favorite activity for elves, they love to feel their natural regeneration magic flowing through their bodies, causing intense pleasure, while simple cuddling and sex feels no better than picking one's nose... satisfying in a way but adult elves who went through captivity no longer find it worthwhile :P

Sorry for the follow-up, but I had an idea by your description wondering what the point of standing armies is... It reminds me of The Potsdam Giants. The TL;DR is that a Prussian king collected the tallest men he could find for a special regiment... Yunia has no wars, but is still clearly a very competitive place. Over the ages armies evolved into something more akin to Olympic teams.
Different regiments have different functions - so you have troops that are incredibly good at extreme insertions, some are bendy... Instead of sniper/spotter teams, you have two man teams for various forms of sex... Now it makes sense for Basil to be in the military. He's like a water boy, only more specialised, but he sure does help morale.
And, once a year, the various kingdoms meet to have their armies do "battle" and the results are used to settle any disputes - maybe the Barbarians want the right to use the hot springs, for example. Losers may have to give up current troops, or even round picks, kinda like a sports draft situation? And there's also scouts that go around to find hidden talent... Maybe it's even a situation where talent from less affluent areas can have access to proper training, sort of like on the job training and a GI Bill for sexiness?

Indeed they don't have any wars in Yunia, I think they're too spoiled by sex and kinks to risk hurting any relationships established by their forefathers. As long as one can go anywhere freely and enjoy all kinds of sexy things, what's the point changing anything? It's all perfect as it is, all the borders and local cultures only make it more interesting.
I think in realworld wars are started when some people are jealous of some resources their neighbors have, but in Yunia resources aren't that important, the real resources are the kinks, but if you were born in Elbend but you're really into fisting, can always just move to Armbury, join the Army and almost instantly get a nice roommate to practice with. The Army is actually a second name for the Fisting Guild, it has nothing to do with fighting, though they do appreciate nice muscles and bigger, thicker arms. They also have the Legion but it's for the elite assholes :D The Legion is of course not called that because there are thousands of them, just because they prefer legs to arms. I can imagine them having "human cannons", when they stand on all fours and lift their gaping ass in the air, so they start looking a lot like a cannon, ready to take the biggest toys from the Arsenal :D
The idea of "battles" is interesting though, maybe the winners get to receive some captives from the losers, and that's why Barbarians sometimes have Elves living with them, but it's also possible for young Barbarians to end up in the Elven kingdom and end up becoming exotic dancers instead of bodybuilders...

Personally I don't like to think of any kinds of societies, including fictional elven communes, in every book I read everything social always leads to bad things and disappointment. But sex life is always something special in any society, it requires a safe zone, like a bubble where everything else is pushed aside, and that's so much more pleasant to explore... I much prefer to peek in side the bubble than exploring the vast and complex society around it that, let's be honest, doesn't even matter in the end... XD
