Actually it's the same technique I used in Graceful Turnback, simply draw lineart over a 3D render and then refine the 3D layer to match the more cartoony style. It has WAY more potential than simply drawing colors in Photoshop, as can be combined with any complex 3D scene like the one in The House of the Rising Fist :D

The base of the one he's sitting on looks almost exactly like the Square Peg Toys "Stamen".
Yeah I knew something like that would be the case, probably because of the diaphragm... I already fixed the mouth piece to be more anatomically correct and consider the jaw but for the colon I wasn't sure, I assumed it would stretch the diaphragm and get between the lungs but to be honest my knowledge of anatomy is very basic.
