A tear falls from my sunken eye
As I drown in self-hate's dream

Am I a ghost to all around
Am I a shadow of my past
Am I a lost and broken soul
Am I a beauty that did not last

Long enough to see the dawn
Long enough to feel the sun
Long enough to find my way
Long enough to be someone

I wander down the cobbled street
Through these forgotten lanes
Where houses stand with crumbling walls
And no one sees my pain
