The oil-painting style is perfect for the subject! The finished work looks very much like the work of William-Adolphe Bouguereau and that would fit the 1869 date, too. Not sure if that was intentional or not, but it works.

Also, a big, big "thumbs up" for being transparent about the AI image generation. Though, in your case Yuni, "some overpainting and fixing" probably means a lot, lot more work than any of us could imagine. Read more
William-Adolphe Bouguereau is my favorite 19th century French painter, and using his name was one of the first things that crossed my mind to try... Back then, AI was hyped a lot for its "ability" to replicate famous artist styles, it was weeks before the drama started, so back then I actually believed that AI was able to honestly reproduce this painter's style... Well, later I learned more about the algorithm, then we got this drama about illegal training on copyrighted images, using artists' names and other sorts of neuro-vandalism...

These days my AI stuff is way more neutral but I wanted to start sharing my AI art from the beginning, just so it's more chronological and shows how it started... Read more

Thanks for reminding me of it! At first, it was indeed enjoyable to try different artistic styles inspired by those legendary artists. However, over time, I became concerned that some might perceive this as disrespectful to their legacies. As a result, I distanced myself from such imitation. But your encouragement has made me reconsider whether it might be worthwhile to revive these experiments.
